PREFACE
This Reader is intended to provide the student of Ilokano
with a broad selection of articles together with all necessary
lexical and grammatical information. The twenty-five stories
were selected from Bannawag, an Ilokano weekly magazine, all
of which originally appeared between August 25, 1986 and April
6, 1987. In the strictest sense the present volume is not a
newspaper reader, but contains the kinds of articles or
reports that would would normally be associated with a newspaper.
The title is in keeping with other similar publications by
M.R.M./Dunwoody Press.
