Luganda is a Bantu language that is spoken as a first or as a second language by many of the people of Uganda, and is closely related to the neighboring languages, Lunyoro and Runyankole. This course was designed for the Peace Corps, and aimed at the special needs of that agency. It is not a course in the usual sense, but a collection of learning materials, useful in the interaction of teachers and students, such as dialog and vocabulary drills. Detailed suggestions are provided for using these materials, but much still depends on the initiative of the student. 11 audio CDs and 345 pg. book.
